for our angling future...
"By the next generation, Trout Unlimited will ensure that robust populations of native and wild coldwater fish once again thrive within their North American range, so that our children can enjoy healthy fisheries in their home waters."
That's the vision statement of Trout Unlimited. We cannot do it without YOU. Consider your own unique talents, time and ability - you have something to give for our angling future. Our grandchildren are depending on you. Contact us if you can help in any of the areas below or have other ideas on how you can help.

Youth Board Member: We are looking for a teen to become a Board Member. To give us fresh ideas about how to engage young anglers and grow our mission through fresh ideas. There is no better resume builder than being an effective volunteer board member.
Youth Programs Team Leader: In 2014 we had Trout In The Classroom at Walton Elementary and Geary Elementary Schools. We coordinated a Bluegill Tournament and gave away $100's in prizes to kids. We assisted Cub Scout Pack 437 in earning their fishing beltloops. Yet there is so much more to do. We would like to become merit badge counselors for the Boy Scouts of America Fly Fishing Merit Badge in the Allohak Council. We would like to assist other Cub Scout Packs. We will continue the Bluegill Tournament, but would like to engage in the Wallback Fishing Derby and other youth events. We would like to assist in developing a 5 Rivers Program/College Fly Fishing Club at Glenville State College. Consider how you can help lead us in this direction.
Conservation Team Leader: As we build upon our chapter's primary mission to restore and reconnect our state's native brook trout fisheries, we need additional support in the area of discovering and developing habitat projects. This person needs to understand what constitutes a healthy watershed, how to recognize potential projects and follow through with making the appropriate contacts.
Fundraising Coordinator: We can't do what we do without funding. This person will develop new ideas not just in terms of events, but in membership services, discounts for members, corporate/business donations (and thank you's), item donation procurement and grant funding opportunities/development.
Membership Coordinator: The Membership Coordinator would be a person who tracks current memberships - new, expired and about to expire. Reach out to expiring memberships to encourage their renewals and develop ideas for growing new members. Help put together chapter specific packets to send to all members as well as any other incentives.
Officers/Board Members: Being in a leadership position in the chapter is not just necessary, it is fun. We are NOT a demanding organization nor do we monopolize your time. Our by-laws allow for voting and business development via telephone/email or other technology resources. We are in the 21st Century and intend to use technology to our advantage.
Blogger/Newsletter Editor: We need help in developing our communications platforms. If you like to write and have a story to tell, let us know how you can help.
